Lacquerware (漆器, shikki) is a Japanese craft with a wide range of fine art and every day applications.  It’s given as a gift for weddings or births, but is also used as day-to-day tableware and has a special place in the hearts of Japanese people.

Lacquer is not just beautiful, it’s light-weight and practical. It’s strong and heat-resistant, and also has great antibacterial properties. We recommend hand washing these items for a longer life.
